EZ Suite piles on new features
10.5.3 updates include major enhancements
The latest Ytria EZ suite update (released on 28 September) was remarkably feature packed for a ‘point release.’ You can read the full version
history here, or check out our Top Four highlights below:
1) New Agent Comparator in replicationEZ: This new tool lets you compare agent properties across for multiple databases across servers. This
is a great way to spot inconsistencies in agent settings. And it works—and if you do spot an issue, tight EZ Suite integration means that agentEZ is only a right-click away.
2) Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V Returns to scanEZ’s Tree and Item List: This is a bugfix and we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced
while the feature was broken. But we’d also like to stress that this newly re-introduced Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V copy-pasting in the Selection Tree and Item List panel is a huge time-saver. Please try it if you
haven’t already.
3) Enhanced MySelection Virtual Folder Features: scanEZ now allows you to add (or remove, or copy, or intersect) items to a specified
MySelection virtual folder via a new, dynamic ‘Another MySelection…’ submenu. This submenu appears in any of the MySelection commands in the MySelection and Checkbox Selection menu items (and right-click
menus).
4) Partially Load Servers in Ytria Admin Tools: Now you can partially load servers in databaseEZ, replicationEZ, agentEZ, and aclEZ: This
means you can work on databases without waiting to scan the full server. You just need to select a database in your Notes workspace and click a product’s icon in the Ytria toolbar. Alternatively, you can
make a selection in replicationEZ and use the right-click menu option to load only the selected database in aclEZ, agentEZ or databaseEZ.

Guest contributor Kim Greene explains...
Her scanEZ solution for a tricky calendar and scheduling (C&S) issue.
|
Recently I worked with a customer that ran into a situation where calendar delegation for a user wasn't working properly. The user, wanting to allow delegation of their calendar to
another team member, had gone into their preferences and provided their colleague the ability to view and edit their calendar.

From the Ytria Tech Lab...
An advanced scanEZ search-and-replace trick
Due to an organizational shakeup, a user needed to search and replace a string across a large collection of Lotus Notes documents. To make matters
worse, he had no way of knowing which items contained the values that needed replacing. He asked us if scanEZ could help. Our answer was ‘yes’ and here’s how…
