Get the big picture on what’s replicating

Like all Ytria EZ Suite tools, replicationEZ goes the extra mile in terms of gathering and displaying data. The main grid with its multi-server interface enables you to analyze all replicas, their generic properties and more. Databases carrying the same Replica ID are arranged in the same row with the upper column indicating the server in question. Grouping by certain properties instantly reveals a wealth of information.

Number of Replicas
  • The number of Replicas column indicates the number of replicas across the selected servers for the applications currently loaded.
  • When working with clusters, a quick grouping can be done with the Number of Replicas column, and would show the number of database that have not been replicated from one server to another. You can add as many servers as you would like.
Duplicate Flag
  • Color coding is used in the grid where red highlighting indicates a duplicate replica on either of the servers it resides on.
  • Duplicate replicas on any loaded servers can quickly be identified by grouping the `Is Duplicate` column.
Do not Replicate Flag
  • It is vital to see the status of all Replicas, and both the yellow color coding, and the "Do Not Replicate" column do this the first time you look at the main grid’s generic properties section.
  • Grouping the Do Not Replicate column instantly shows ALL the databases that have either of the replication prevention flags (Temporarily Disable Replication, or the ‘Never Replicate’ flag – uniquely managed by the Ytria tools) set across either of the loaded servers.
Access, compare and mass-edit properties Using the replicationEZ console command interface
  • Ytria’s replicationEZ and databaseEZ both offer a console command interface. However, the suggested options, like the scope of these two tools, are different. The replicationEZ console has the following commands*:
    • Initiating replication for one or more selected databases (PULL and PUSH)
    • Forcing the PUSH server command for one or more selected databases
    • Launching the PULL server command for one or more applications
    • Custom server commands

*Note that you will need console rights on the ‘Origin’ server since the commands are sent to its console using standard Notes authentication.
