Select any Notes database (email, personal address book, applications etc.) on your workspace, open scanEZ from the Notes client toolbar.

Click the Search By Formula button on the scanEZ toolbar or through the menu Search > Search By Formula and create any formula you want.

Example: @Contains(Subject; "Urgent")

To help you create formulas use the drop down lists: Basic Formulas, View Formulas, Field Names, Field Values and various (+, -, =, &, etc.) operators. Use the Save button to save formulas that you might need to use again and again. And re-use the formulas with the Saved Formulas button. You can create any selection formula you want.

Click the Search button to find the documents that match your search criteria. Search results are placed into a My Selection folder, which is a kind of temporary/virtual folder. Select and expand the folder to view the results of your previous search. To help you narrow down a search, use the Search in current Collection check box, when performing a new Search By Formula on a previous search result.
