Select any Notes database (email, personal address book, applications etc.) on your workspace, open scanEZ from the Notes client toolbar.

Click to expand the Documents tree. Select any document from the list to see its actual contents and field values. Using the checkboxes, select as many documents (and in any combination: designs, documents, profiles etc.) you wish to examine.

With your selections made, click the Add to New Selection button to create a new [Current] My Selection folder, containing the documents you've just selected. (Note: you can always make your selections manually in a view, perform a selection by formula on these documents, and remove certain documents from the list.)

Using your mouse click the [Current] My Selection folder, and click the Diff button that appears on the right. This panel shows you the current situation of the documents (i.e. do they have the same values or not? same types? etc.) Click the Values button if you want to see the individual values of each field.

If changes are needed on an item (or field), select the item and click the Modify button to open the Modify window. You can enter a constant value for the item, or you can apply a formula on it (in Diff mode the value or formula will be applied to all the documents you selected). To create your own formula, click the @ button, and enter a formula in the formula box. Click Apply to apply the value or formula.

The formula you create can be complex, or as simple as in this example: @lowercase(Subject)
