Ytria's EZ Suite tools never ask for your password, however the Notes API will, by default, prompt you for a password when you launch our software or use it to perform certain operations (see Figure 1).
If you'd prefer not to have to enter your password so frequently you have two options:
  1. In your Lotus Notes client click File>Security>User Security and tick the "Don't prompt for a password from other Notes-based programs (reduces security)" checkbox (see Figure 2).
  2. Or you can click Help>Password Options in any Ytria tool and enter your password in the Notes API Login Options dialog box and click Save. Your password will be encrypted and saved in the registry. You can save multiple login passwords, and there is a link that near the bottom of the dialog box that should say There is (are) x password(s) saved (click here to see the list). You can also delete saved passwords from this window, the Del. Current button erases the current password and the Delete All button erases the entire list or stored passwords. (See Figure 3).

Note

Try to avoid clicking Cancel in the Notes API password prompt dialog box. There is an issue where cancelling this dialog will render your session unstable. Ytria has alerted IBM about this error and they have acknowledged its existence. If you've accidentally clicked Cancel in the password prompt dialog, you must close and re-open your Notes session or else you'll continually get "The prompt for password was aborted by user (5928)"-type errors.
