The installation process

The install process requires that you have access to your Windows Registry.

The process will first try to access the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry (which registers the computer, so that any user can use the installing software). If it is not able to register here, it will try to access the HKEY_CURRENT_USER registry (which means only the current user will be allowed to use the installing software).

Be sure that you have the right to do make changes to your registry. You would need to at least have some access to either one of your registries so that our software can install on your computer: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE or HKEY_CURRENT_USER. If we are unable to write to either one of these registries, then you cannot use the software.

  • YtriaFormula.sfd
  • [product name]_[dates].dmp: These files are created when the software encounters a problem. They can be deleted if you wish, however they can come in handy if you ever need to contact Ytria's technical support. Created in ...\notes\data\YTRIA_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT.
  • [product name]_[dates].txt: These files are created when the software encounters a problem. They can be deleted if you wish, however they can come in handy if you ever need to contact Ytria's technical support. Created in ...\notes\data\YTRIA_TECHNICAL_SUPPORT.
  • Ytria's software uses a directory for caching. Any items in this folder can safely be deleted. The folder is created in: .../notes/data/domino/html/ytria
  • YtriaIntall.log: By default this file is created in the C:/ directory. Read more about this file here.
  • Ytria[product name].bmp and Ytria[product name].mac: These files will be created in this directory If you are using Notes R4.6 or R5. The files are created in: .../notes/data:
SignEZ
  • Ytriatemp.id: This file is used by signEZ and usually gets cleaned automatically. If the program encountered a problem and this file didn't get deleted after exiting, feel free to delete it. It's created in the C:\ directory.
Ytria Update
  • YtriaUpdate.log: This file can sometimes be useful in troubleshooting software update issues. The software will attempt to place this file in the root directory; if access is denied it will be placed in the user's Windows temp directory (e.g. C:\Users\"name"\AppData\Local\Temp).
Ytria Register
  • YtriaRegister.log: This file will be created only if you register tools using the Ytria Key Management System (accessible though the Ytria EZ Suite installation database); the file will not be created if you register Ytria tools directly from a product's Help menu. The software will attempt to place this file in the root directory; if access is denied it will be placed in the user's Windows temp directory (e.g. C:\Users\"name"\AppData\Local\Temp).

Note

To install and use Ytria's software you must have permission to access the Notes directory of the workstation you're using.
